Arts and crafts

Solly calls is "arts and crap" and we don't correct him :) it's too cute and funny.  Below are some pieces done by Solly, Dede and even a birthday card Dede received from her friends.  Dede also knows now how to write her name thanks to Paty!  I can't seem to figure out how to rotate these images so just set your computer on it's side if it bothers you.

Love,
Mama

Plan B is coming along :)

Our beach dream house is getting closer to finished... Next week windows, doors and second level flooring is done. I bought all the fixtures today. So exciting, never thought we would have a house like this on the beach. Very grateful.

A guardian angel

Dede's teacher Gaby made this for her.  It is a guardian angel to hang over her bed.  I am pretty sure I never had a teacher that made me a gift, we love our kids school :)

Had to post these

These were the cards Paty made for Dede's party. Had to get them in here :)

Thank you Mellat, I love you

I know only her first name, Mellat.  She is the birthmother of my daughter, Donna.  Four years ago she gave birth to a beautiful young baby.  She herself was only a child, fifteen years of age...  There are no words sufficient to express the gratitude I have for the sacrifices she made for Dede.  Often, I stare into Dede's eyes and wonder about Mellat, and if she is ok.  As Dede grows older I struggle with what to say to her about her birthmother, what is too much?  What is too little?  I stare at the screen here trying to think of what I can write to express my feelings, I cannot.  Thank you Mellat, I love you.

Donna von Hessert is four

She turned four, and she is amazing. Donna von Hessert-Roberts is the light of my life. She is an amazing dancer, singer, swimmer and has a giant heart. She is so smart and she wears her heart on her sleeve. She wants to impress everyone and loves to make you smile. She asks amazing questions and never stops trying when she wants something. I am beyond grateful for the gift of being her mom.
