September is coming to a sweet end

The fall weather has been heavenly, the pumpkin patch is open and soon the leaves will be changing colors. Glad we get to be here for this great season :)

The kids are in preschool in Gig Harbor for a month.  This is our last month on Raft Island before we move down to Mexico full time.  We have rented our house to a wonderful couple of gay, Jewish women with two kids. Couldn't be happier with the tenants :)  Solly and Dede start Waldorf education once down in Playa in November and soon will be fluent in Spanish!  What a gift!  Brad will "commute" to work, which is to say he will do as much as humanly possible from Mexico and when he needs to be in WA state for his job he will stay at Gam and Pa's house and take care of business :)  It is a big change for all of us, and not everybody is thrilled with this decision for various reasons.  Ultimately though, Brad and I need to do what we feel right for us as a married couple and for our kids.  Some might think it's strange that we are living apart to be "closer".  It isn't...  We need this, Brad needs this, I need this.  So wish us luck!  Here we go grabbing on to the seat of our pants and flying into the unknown...

I love you all,

Happy first birthday piglet :)

One year ago today... My sister went into labor with her first child,  I watched in awe as she birthed him. Happy birthday my sweet nephew. I love you more than you could possibly understand.

My first race

It will not be my last... I loved it! So much good energy in a race, especially a women's race. Hard to describe the feeling I had finishing. I never thought I could do anything like this, ever. I am a very happy Mama today.
Thankful for my great life.

Yep, my first race :)  I will post pics later.  It is called the "you go girl" 10k and half marathon.  The charity is the ywca and awareness for domestic abuse. Brad and the kids will be there to cheer me through the finish line.  I am nervous and excited.
