Paty and the kids go to the park for family fun day :)

They went to the park and had a great time ;) Paty took all these pictures with the new camera I bought her. Thank Paty for being such an amazing nanny and person. The kids love you more than you'll ever know.

On a plane, home tonight...

I am now on the plane back to Seattle from New York.  Emily is settling in,  she and her mom go see "wicked" tomorrow night together.  Siegi is getting so big and interested in everything around him.  Vanessa and I laughed at how "self centered" he is today when we were walking through the city.  I probably wont see him until Thanksgiving in Mexico (which breaks my auntie heart) but also makes me excited because he may be walking by then! Good thing Casa 157 has baby gates too.

One more day in New York

Tomorrow is my last day here, then back to my little ones in WA :)  It's been a great trip all in all, Emily is getting settled in here and Shannon and her have had lots of time to spend together sightseeing and hanging out.  Today, Shannon and I went to SVA to find out about tuition, housing etc costs for Emily next year.  I sure hope it all works out for Em and she can get into the school of her choice.  What an exciting time in her young life...  Today I also visited with my mother's brother Uncle Dave, that was great.  Tomorrow Vanessa and I are going to visit with our grandmother Dicki in Tarrytown, NY.  We take a train from Grand Central Station and it's about a half hour journey.  She is quite old now and it might be one of the last times I have to see her.  She is a part of my Dad and for that reason I want to say goodbye.  Also having lunch with Franny (the kind owner of the Duck beach house).  A lot of stuff packed into a quick trip here.  I am very grateful for family and friends I have.

Emily went to Australia in July... Late post!

So, I was downloading pictures from Shannon's camera and realized I never posted about Emily and Vanessa's trip to Australia with Siegi.  They went in July, to visit Siegi senior and Anne in Canberra.  Vanessa needed help with the journey there and Emily wanted to go so it was win win. Emily also got a two week intensive photoshopping class at the local college out of the deal from Auntie Vanessa!  Vanessa is an amazing Aunt and we are so grateful for her participation and love in Emily's life.  Enjoy the pictures.

Emily arrives in NYC

Shannon and I are here to drop off our daughter Emily for her two months at art school in NYC. She will be full time at the Art Students League of NYC. Right now, Vanessa and I have been hitting the gym, parenting Siegi :) and just spending quality sister time together. Meanwhile, Shannon and Emily are doing the tourist thing and spending quality mother/daughter time together... Life is brilliant, here are some pictures to prove it.

Outer Banks Bliss

It has been an amazing trip. Today is the last day here and we are going to go do some water sports :) I'd like to try paddle-boarding and Emily wants to windsurf. Tomorrow we have a flight to New York and Paty and the kids fly back to Seattle to meet up with Brad at home. I'm back in five days then Dede turns three on the 26th! Time flies... Life is beautiful and ever changing. More posts coming soon as we transition to the big city leg of the trip!
