Tomorrow :)

In Missoula

Here we are in Missoula, it is every bit as beautiful as I remember and more...  I had goosebumps driving into the area remembering all the memories on the river and hiking with my old dog Kaya.  I am at my friends place and his wife is a doll, very sweet and intelligent.  Making my lunch now (in the rig) and trying to get Dede to nap!

Old friends, new beginnings :)

Well I am here in the "rig" sipping my delicious coffee and I just got off the phone with the wife of a dear old friend. Clark and I worked together for years at the Missoula Golf and Country Club and after I left Missoula for Bermuda we pretty much lost contact (except one time I was driving through a bunch of years ago we had coffee). Well, lo and behold I met his wife on an adoption forum! How crazy is that? He and his family of three (one wife, two boys) expanded their troop for a beautiful three year old girl from Addis Ababa :) Dede and I are on our way to their house today to meet Crystal, two boys and daughter. Also, I get to see my old friend Clark again. Small world indeed...  I hope it's pull through, I am still getting used to backing up!

First day of driving tomorrow

Not our airstream, but a beauty vintage 50's model, same lengthOk... so tomorrow me, Donna and the airstream are leaving Raft Island.  I have been packing all night and cannot wait to get there to see my family.  This is going to be so much fun for everyone.  Fishing, hiking, laughing and eating among other fun things are going to happen :)  I plan on driving 6 1/2 hours to St Regis, Montana.  There is a trailer park there where Deeds and I will slumber and perhaps meet a few people?  Who knows???!!!  I will have my laptop with me so I will make sure to blog and post pictures.

The above link is the webpage for my first night.  More soon!

I am hitting the "dusty trails" in a day or so with my daughter Donna and our airstream :) We are headed to my sisters 800 acre ranch in Montana for a family vacation. Brad and Solly are flying to billings and Deed's and I are picking them up there. I will post pictures along the way. Wish me luck!

A rose by any other name...

I love growing roses. Seriously, the first thing I do in the morning after I pee I go to my window to look out on my roses and make sure they are safe, and not deer attacked. Watering them is amazing too, thats when I look at every bloom and bud and anticipate the next flush of blooms. Pruning is an art, knowing exactly where to snip to make it the perfect bush. Anyway, here are some pics of the other love in my life, my roses :) The funny thing is, the most breathtaking view of them is coming up the bluff where the roses are facing the sun (our very steep bluff which I am not climbing very often with the kids.)

city pool!
